Asian American History present 13

  Here is another chance to celebrate writing with this latest Asian American History present.

 

This writer is one of the first people of Asian descent to publish a novel in America (along with her sister who we already featured in a past episode).

 

Even though her mother was Chinese, she chose to write about Japanese characters and use a Japanese pseudonym, with some of her work turned into Broadway plays or motion pictures.
